WHAT PRINTER SETTING SHOULD I USE?

DO I NEED TO PREPARE MY PRINTER IN ANY PARTICULAR WAY TO USE HARMAN INKJET PAPER?

When using any premium quality photo inkjet paper you should ensure that your printer is performing properly. This can be done by performing a nozzle check and print head alignment on a regular basis.

I USE THIRD-PARTY INKS IN MY PRINTER. WILL I OBTAIN GOOD PRINTS WITH HARMAN INKJET PAPER?

All ICC profiles and printing recommendations supplied by HARMAN technology are based on the use of the original printer manufacturer’s inks. We cannot guarantee the performance of HARMAN Inkjet papers with third-party inks. It is also possible that the long term stability of the prints may be compromised by the use of third-party inks. If you are using third-party inks and wish to use an ICC profile it will be necessary have the profile built specific to your printer/ink/paper combination. There are services available that provide this service at a low cost.

WHY DON’T THE PRINTS I MADE ON HARMAN INKJET PAPER LOOK THE SAME AS WHAT I SEE ON MY COMPUTER MONITOR?

A monitor must be fully calibrated and profiled on a regular basis if the on – screen image is to be representative of the output. There are many low cost devices and software available to perform these task

HOW LONG DO PRINTS MADE ON HARMAN INKJET PAPER TAKE TO DRY AFTER PRINTING?

The ink receiving layer of HARMAN Inkjet papers allows for rapid absorption of the inks and the print emerges from the printer dry to the touch. However, depending on the ambient humidity conditions, the print can take longer to dry completely. For this reason the prints should be handled carefully after printing. It is important that any print to be mounted or framed be allowed to dry for a full 24 hours.
