HARMAN CRYSTALJET SPOTLIGHTS RISING PHOTOGRAPHY STARS WITH STUDENT COMPETITION
19th May 2010
HARMAN technology has announced the winners of its student competition.
HARMAN technology has today announced Shaun Robinson of the School of Photographic Arts, Ottawa as the winner of its national HARMAN CRYSTALJET Student Competition. Photography students across North America and Canada were invited to enter the competition, which supported the launch of HARMAN’s CRYSTALJET RC photographic inkjet media. Entrants were asked to make their submissions based on category themes of ‘Today’ or ‘Interaction’, with a select panel of expert judges choosing the winners.
Robinson’s image, ‘Double Bike’ was chosen as the overall winner, securing the promising photographer $500 of HARMAN CRYSTALJET RC paper. Runners up in each category each won $100 of HARMAN CRYSTALJET RC product. UK based HARMAN, also responsible for the manufacture of ILFORD monochrome photographic products, demonstrated its continued commitment to photo education in the USA and Canada by awarding $1000 of HARMAN CRYSTALJET RC paper to The School of Photographic Arts, Ottawa, as the college that submitted the most entries.
Steven Brierley, Marketing Director at HARMAN technology commented:
“At HARMAN we are committed to supporting student photography, which is one of the reasons we developed the HARMAN CRYSTALJET RC range, and the competition is a great example of our efforts to showcase rising talent. We received some remarkable entries from all over the USA and Canada, and although it was a difficult choice to make, Shaun’s picture was an outstanding response to the brief and we are very proud to announce his photograph as the winning entry.”
