FREESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHIC TO CONTINUE AS US DISTRIBUTOR OF KENTMERE PRODUCTS
Following its acquisition of Kentmere Photographic, HARMAN technology Limited reassures US customers that Freestyle Photographic’s FS Distribution division will continue to offer Kentmere’s products as normal
It has recently been announced that HARMAN technology Limited, the company behind ILFORD PHOTO and HARMAN PHOTO, has bought Kentmere Photographic Limited. The move, which comes following a period of extensive negotiations, is being welcomed as a good thing for the brands involved as well as for the wider photographic community.
Following the buy-out, HARMAN has been keen to stress that the Kentmere brand will remain relatively unchanged. It will continue to offer the same resin coated and fibre based monochrome papers and inkjet products, including Opaljet, whilst employing the same marketing approach.
HARMAN is especially delighted to announce that in terms of the USA market, Freestyle will continue to act as the exclusive distributor of Kentmere Photo products. Not only does this ensure no disruption in availability for US customers, but it also brings together two companies with a shared passion for Darkroom.
Speaking of the new partnership, HARMAN technology’s President of Sales for North America, Steven Brierley, commented ‘Customers in the US can rest assured that it will be ‘business as usual’ in terms of access to Kentmere products. We are delighted that Freestyle has agreed to continue their role as exclusive distributors and look forward to working closely with them in the future.”
His views are echoed by Patrick DelliBovi, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, from Freestyle. Mr. DelliBovi said: “This marks the start of a new and exciting partnership for Freestyle and HARMAN technology.
