CALLING ALL BUDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS…

HARMAN technology launches first ever national digital photography competition.

HARMAN technology, manufacturer of HARMAN PHOTO professional photographic inkjet paper, has launched a nationwide search for promising photographers as part of its first ever digital photography competition. Open to all, from photography students to relative novices, the competition offers winners the chance to undertake an intensive two-day digital photography course with world-renowned photographer Les McLean at his studio.

Howard Hopwood, marketing director at HARMAN commented:

“HARMAN has always been highly involved with the student communities in the UK, and we always try and support up-and-coming photographers in every way we can. This latest competition is a perfect extension of that.”

“Although anyone can enter, from lifelong enthusiasts to complete novices, we are expecting a large number of entries from the various colleges and universities across the country.” He added.

Entry requirements have been kept intentionally open to offer photographers the chance to be as creative as they like with their images, and the deadline for submissions is August 31. Winners will also receive £150 worth of HARMAN PHOTO digital inkjet products, with second place receiving £100 of product, and third place receiving £50 of the HARMAN PHOTO paper.

Howard Hopwood continued:

“We didn’t want to restrict people by applying a theme to the competition – we want to see as broad a range of images as possible. The only prerequisite is that entrants are UK residents, and entries are printed on the new HARMAN PHOTO MATT FB Mp inkjet paper.”

HARMAN has been involved with student photography for many years, coordinating photography workshops and masterclasses at colleges and universities through its ILFORD PHOTO brand of traditional photography products.

The new HARMAN PHOTO digital inkjet papers incorporate real photo baryta – an active coating layer than enhances colour brightness, tonal range and archival properties. Unique anti-curl technology has also been used in the manufacturing process in order to ensure prints remain flat before, during and after printing.

The paper is now available nationwide, with discounted trial packs on offer in many outlets. To find your local stockist, or for more detailed information on the competition, consult www.harman-inkjet.com
