HARMAN LAUNCHES NATIONAL DIGITAL INKJET COMPETITION
* HARMAN technology issues its first-ever digital photography challenge

UK ONLY

HARMAN technology has announced the launch of a national photography competition, giving photographers the chance to win an exclusive, personal two-day digital masterclass with leading photographer Les McLean. The competition has been launched in conjunction with the imaging specialist’s new professional photographic inkjet paper, HARMAN PHOTO MATT FB Mp, which was launched across the UK on February 5.

Entrants are asked to submit their images on the new HARMAN PHOTO paper, and free sample packs were made available at HARMAN technology’s stand during the Focus on Imaging exhibition in February. The images can be submitted in any of the HARMAN PHOTO MATT FB Mp paper sizes, providing entrants with A4, A3 and A3+ size options.

Howard Hopwood, marketing director at HARMAN technology commented:
“Digital photography is about creative freedom, so we have kept the inaugural HARMAN PHOTO Digital Inkjet competition very open and unrestrictive. Entrants can submit images on any theme, in colour or black and white, and images can use any subject matter.”

“The prize will involve a comprehensive digital photography course with Les McLean, involving all aspects of digital photography from the taking of pictures to post production, profiling and printing.” He added.

Winners will also receive £150 worth of HARMAN PHOTO digital inkjet products, with second place receiving £100 of product, and third place receiving £50 of HARMAN PHOTO paper.

Although HARMAN technology coordinates a number of renowned competitions for its traditional monochrome photographic products, the new competition is the first time the Mobberley based company has developed a competition purely for digital images.

Howard Hopwood stated:
“Our business philosophy is to provide the products that help photographers to create the best possible images – and just like our traditional photographic products, our HARMAN PHOTO range has been developed with this ideal in mind.”

“It’s exciting to embark on projects such as this with our new inkjet range, and I’m confident the nation’s digital photographers will create some exceptional entries for the competition.” He added.

Deadline for entries is August 31, and HARMAN technology will announce the winners on Friday September 28. Full details and entry information can be found at the HARMAN PHOTO website, www.harman-inkjet.com
